I am trying to make music video, and I pulled a song from iTunes and rendered all once I put it in the timeline. Problem is I keep getting a skipping sound in the music, anyone know what the issue is?

In your iTunes prefs change the import settings to AIFF 16bit, 48k stereo, hit okay, then right click (control+click) the song you want and select "convert to AIFF."

Thanks for the info., but will this work for a song that has already been imported into my iTunes libary? I ask this because you mentioned to change the import settings, and I would think it would need to be an export change since I am trying to send it to FCP.

still works, it just creates a new version that is aiff. when you convert, right click on the new one and select show in finder to get you to the actual file.

Yes it will work on songs already in your library. The "convert selection to..." function inside iTunes mirrors whatever the import settings are. The AIFF version of the song will show up in your iTunes library and you can drag it directly from there into whatever folder you using to hold all of your assets for your FCP project.

And if you ever need to convert more than one song just all the songs you need, right click (control+click), select "convert selection to..." and iTunes will batch convert all the songs.

another option is to down Switch. Its a nice converting program. There is a lot of different file formats to chose ffrom!

A quicker solution is to "Show Song File" from iTunes, open in Quicktime and export as either an AIFF or WAV. As opposed to having to change your iTunes preferences and doing all kinds of dragging and deleting.

6 one way/half dozen the other, IMO.

If you have multiple songs though (which obviously isn't the case here since the OP needs it for a music video) you can batch convert the songs in iTunes where as you can only do one song at a time using QT, AFAIK.
