HPX500 and 35mm adapters

Well, I'm very excited about this new camera. However, lens options are very expensive.

I've also been following RED's development, and since it will be offering 35mm still camera lens support from day one, my question is:

Can or is someone developing any 35mm adapter for 2/3 cameras?

Could Panasonic release any sort of adaptor to use 35mm lenses?

This would make for a much less expensive package.

I just bought the Brevis and am shooting with it. This would be a solution for upgraders from the HVX, and bring down the camera price to a more affordable level, as well as a significant gain in the DOF department...

EDIT- Why not a removable LEICA DICOMAR from Panasonic, at a 2000 or 3000 dollar price range? Like they do with their DSLR, the L-1?

Well, depends on how you look at it. The body alone with viewfinder is $14,000. Four 16GB P2 cards are $3600, so body + cards = $3600, so that puts it at $17,600. B&H and Samy's have packages that include the lens starting at $19,999.95. So you could twist figures and look at numbers in such a way as to convince yourself that the lens is already only $2399.95, right?

I'm sure someone somewhere makes a B4-to-Canon or B4-to-Nikon adapter, although I can't think of who or where. And the HPX500 has the LCD image flilp so you could just use it with a Brevis or something as well; although you're going to need a relay lens anyway no matter what you do.

Not to contridict Barry but the Panny rep told me at NAB that the camera would ship with 4-16GB cards. THen its just the addition of the P&S pro 35 that mounts direct to the B4 mount and you can then add any PL lenses.

The $14k is just body and viewfinder ONLY. The Pan rep was talking about the packages that they have available that include the body, viewfinder, lens, 4x16gig P2 cards starting around $22k. At least that is was I have garnered from forum talk, and dealers I have spoken with about the camera.
