Hello guys, sorry to bother once again, I have a terrible problem, I have to shoot a commercial tomorrow on a green screen and have no clue on how to do it, I am shooting 720 24PN I am using vegas 7 with raylight to convert the mxf files into avi's
now I rendered a portion using the quicktime codec tga file to take it to after effects and it was fine now when I rendered on af to bring back to vegas I didnt know how to render and it was taking like an hour for a 10 sec clip, please someone show me the light on this issue on the exact settings to take something to af and then bring it back to vegas, thanks so much

I use quicktime animation codec and set the quality to 100% when I'm going between AE and Vegas with SD video. Should be lossless both ways. I'm not in the HD world, so I'm not sure if Animation codec does 720p.

File > Export > AVI

Video Settings:
Compression - None
FPS - 23.98 / 29.97 (Whichever you want but do not choose "Best")
Quality - Best

Shouldn't have to touch sound but make sure it says uncompressed. Don't know what settings you were trying but hopefully this helps.

Oh sorry, those settings are meant to EXPORT from AFTER EFFECTS. Then bring those files back into Vegas.

The dimensions in your After Effects Composition should be the same as those in your Vegas project.

ok thanks and how about to take it to after effects? in vegas I am doing a render as avi 720 hdv 24p intermediate, video rendering quality as good, and then I am still on the red for the raylight raymaker, is this ok?>

Coming out of Vegas you should be using either .AVI Uncompressed or .MOV Uncompressed (PNG).

Don't compress the video at all until final export.
