I have a project coming up where I need to do something like an "entertainment tonight"... I'll be shooting my anchors against a green screen and would like to know where i can get some decent stills or video of a "studio" to use as the background.. would be great to get some typical news / tonight show / larry king type backgrounds to have in the arsenal..
any sources?

Hi:

Beware that if you take pictures of someone else's real set and use them in your publicly viewed or sold video, you can be succesfully sued for copyright/trademark infringment without a location release from the owner.

There are pre-designed virtual sets available from a number of companies that would be a better bet is this is a commercial or publicly exhibited project. If it's just for a home video, go for it, shoot your local tv station stage or if you can get permission.

Best,

Dan

i was hoping someone could just point me to a website or something.. this is just for a home movie project so copyright isnt an issue - anyone happen to have any pics like these?

Try this site http://www.virtualsetworks.com. They have everything you can imagine. I believe they even have one free download one you can get. The prices aren't too bad considering what they're saving you on other costs. And you won't have to worry about releases and all that.

Of course Adobe (used to be serious magic) Ultra has virtual sets that come with it as well as other ones available in separate collections.
