Help with Breasts

Okay, now that I have your attention - LOL

Seriously though... I need to do a shoot with breast implants NOT attached to a human being... meaning just those little silicone/saline filled sacks, and coming up with the ACTUAL "breasts" is turning out to be difficult. Apparently, they are pretty darn expensive (even not "installed") and even calling in favors from friends isn't proving fruitful.

Anyone have any ideas on how to create a prop that looks close enough to pass as two breast implants?

Any ideas would be helpful!

Maybe some baby oil in a really robust cling-wrap type container. I know it would be hard to do, but maybe if the celophane was put in semi-circular collander, and the baby oil/ carro syrup was poured in slowly, then just grab all the sides (2 people may help) and twist tie really well. It might not look too good since there will probably be wrinkles, which kinda defeats the purpose. That's just my theory of how to do it, hopefully someone will have some better way of doing it. Good luck!

Just go down to walmart and pick up a DIY breast implant kit... I know it sucks to buy the entire kit, but you can probably use the scalpel and surgical thread for something else later. They're in between the hemorrhoid donuts and that bubblin' machine for soaking your feet in epsom salts.

Okay seriously I'd look for a TOY and use that... I don't think you're likely to find something 100% smooth and seamless... but there are some small child toys that are made from clear plastic and inflated with air... probably in with the pool toys... all you need is to be sure that the object you're using doesn't look like a gladlock bag... almost anything else will pass if it's clear... and you shoot it carefully.

My wife was reading this thread over my shoulder and out of no where shouted "raw pieces of chicken." I looked at her oddly and she assured me that raw chicken cut in the right shape look like the flesh-colored implants.

For the clear ones she said hair gel in a plastic baggie.

I'm a little freaked out that she came up with this so quickly. :undecided

She claims one of her "friends" did this for a journalism class for a mock expose-type piece.

They're a lot more fun to shoot when they are attached to someone...

What if those aren't jellyfish...

There's an island... like Jurassic Park. Some old rich guy built it... It was to be a showcase of the world's most beautiful women, but the breasts weren't big enough... so he "spared no expense".

But me and Jeff Goldblum warned him that the island was surrounded by shark infested waters and that the bubble-chested blondes couldn't resist the beaches...

I fear something horrible has happened.

Hey EditPhish... no matter what I want to see the BTS of your flick... if there isn't a bunch of comedy whirling around that shoot I'll be amazed.

anyone else feel like they were tricked after clicking on this thread and reading what it was about?

here's what I would do:

- take a pot of water (about 1 liter pr. breast cause then you have more than you need)

- mix in several spoonfulls of potato flour or corn starch (potato flour works best)
- heat the mixture but don't bring it to a boil

that way you have transparent thick water. you might have to experiment a bit with the contents but it should work

then just fill a non-lubricated condom and tie it up. a condom is strong enough to hold the liquid and is cheap and easy to get a hold of

if this doesn't work you could probably get some other form of container like a transparent balloon or something.

Thanks everyone!

Morton... I had thought of the clear balloon idea, but didn't know how to get thick water, so thanks for that!

I think I'm going to have to experiment with a few methods...

The chicken breast one... I thought of that, but they will inevitably look like chicken breasts (which is a joke in-and-of-itself)... that's going to have to be a last resort. Flesh-colored is not what implants looks like... but those "falsies" that some women stick in their bras DO look like chicken cutlets

I did think about the vinyl inflatable children's toy idea, but I've yet to find something that looks close enough to work. Unfortunately, kids seem to like bright colors and patterns, so plain old clear isn't easy to come by.

I'm open to hearing any other ideas...

(and yes, of course, this will be in the comedy genre. We're starting with stills and will proceed from there with the idea if we can flesh it out - pun intended!)

ps. Sorry for those who thought this thread was something else - :D

could you use clay, plaster of paris, and liquid latex. Or what about that liquid glass. My moms a school teacher and she uses the stuff to poor on dead insects.
