I've got a 23.97 sequence in FCP with 24pA footage that's ready to go into the can.
I'm about to export the entire sequence to MP2 for DVDSP directly from FCP via compressor.
Is there anything special about the compressor configuration because of the fact that the sequence is 24fps (and p), or do I just go with a factory preset. I'm thinking a factory preset should be fine.
Now the big question. My DVDSP project is already populated by one track which contains an hour of footage which was shot in 60i and encoded to MP2 by compressor. I'd like to just drop the new MP2 (and accompanying audio file) into the same track, back to back with the 60i MP2 and audio file. I'm thinking this should be fine, but I'm often wrong.
Is an MP2 an MP2, or is there a difference between the MP2 made from progressive and the MP2 made from interlaced? Even if there is a difference, will it matter in terms of how I put together my project.
