After and tv monitor

i have an external monitor, when im working on Ae , the comp on my computer its so much dark, but in the external tv monitor its so brigth, there is a way to match the same color? something like what im see its what im get?, thanks.
 
have you calibrated the external monitor with color bars? once you've done that, then what you see on the external monitor is all that matters. Don't believe your LCD... ever... ever.
 
Download the Final Cut Pro 5 user manual from Apple's support page (it doesn't matter what NLE you have, it is still applicable) and go to page 1-331.
