'A Christmas Story' director killed in crash

Pity we don't execute drunk drivers. Might have provided deterrence sufficient to prevent this (and other) vehicular homicides.

Agreed.

This really saddens me. Black Christmas is one of my favorite movies. I hoped that he would return to horror again one day.

And of course the drunk driver had only minor injuries. This kind of crap is sickening.

I was very saddened to hear the news. My friend and I was just talking about Bob Clark about 4 hours before he died. Very eerie . . .

I know Clark was involved with the upcoming remake of "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things" so I'm wondering if and how they will proceed? The original was one of my faves as a kid. I thought it was so disturbingly scary, especially how they hung out with "Orville" throughout the film. And then when he came back to life at the end! Scarey - at least when I was about 8 years old. :)

...and the driver turns out not only to have been drunk, but in the US in violation of the law, and driving without a license, too.

So we lose a productive and valuable creative artist, at the hands of a triple loser.

Yeah, I noticed that too. That's a whole new can of worms in and of itself...
