Does anyone i know where i can find out how to work with on set sound mixers. i am very poor and cannot afford film school. thanks

so start as pa - make a friendship with the soundman , you know coffee . share the smoke , ask him about profession , maybe next time he will take you roll his cables and change batteries - then who knows
till then start reading books and forum replies .
and better move to eria which has film buisness in general
 
You might post up that you are looking to intern under a mixer on Craigslist.

If you were local then I'd take you on some lower budget stuff... having somebody who CARES but lacks knowledge is usually better then having somebody with knowledge that lacks caring.
 
Didn't realize you were in LA, I could use you from time to time, show you whatever you need to know you can also call me with questions.
