tiff imort as image file no longer same size?

I recently I made some TIFF files for uprezing thru Photo zoom .

Upon import as image sequence the clip is no longer the same length as the original clip .
When I put the sound track to the import clip it no longer matches .
. If the original clip and sound track are say 10 secs long , the new import clip is 13 sec long which puts the sound out of sync .

Any ideas where I went wrong .
Sorry this is rushed as I am just heading off for work.
Thanks
Ian

In preferences try adjusting the default clip length for stills to 1 sec. I use both Premiere Pro 2 and Vegas 7. PPro auto adjusts the image length when stills are imported as a sequence. I am not sure Vegas does.

To do this choose Option from the main menu, then Preferences, then Editing and the Still Length.

Hope this helps.

I suspect that you might find a difference in the imported sequence frame rate and the original clip frame rate. If so, just change the clip properties to match the original and all should be good :)

Thanks Guys
I tried changing the still lenth to 1 sec and it was the same .

I export the original clip as a wmv AVI file , import into After effects and make TIFF files using "BEST" re-import into Photozoom and keep aspect size .
Import back into vegas and change properties to 23.97 .
Last night I tried again and the Import clip was 13 seconds longer than the original . Which of course the sound track no longer is in Sync .

I even tried changing thre properties to 29.97 frames ..the same.

When Making TIFF files with After effects should I try making them 24 frames first ?

I know others have done this with success .
One thing I haven't tried is to re-import the TIFF files ( before Photozoom) and see if the problem still exist .

have you tried importing it as an image sequence?

file->import->media select the first file and them MAKE SURE you select 'open still image sequence' at the bottom.

other than that, I'm reading you tried to set the length to 1 second... have you tried 1 frame?

Hi greg121

I reset the the lenth to 1 second ( I haven't tried 1 frame yet ) and then Import using the Image sequence it made no difference at all .

I even tried importing the original captured clip into After Effects to make TiFF files , same problem .

I have had a look into The Uprez thread by disjecta vbmenu_register("postmenu_97200", true); and so far no one else has had this problem .

I'll try ( reset to 1 frame ) and play with it again tonight and see if I can figure it out .
Thanks Guys

There seems to be only two possibilities: 1) The imported sequence is running at a different frame rate, or 2) you don't have the same number of frames. If for example you have 10 seonds of footage at 30 fps, then you should have 300 frames in your sequence. Do you have the correct number of frames? If no, then you've found the problem. If yes, then are you importing the sequence to run at 30 fps? If no, then just change the properties to do so.

Hi Mark
Thanks

I did try putting both into a 23.97 time line with no change in results

I did try to make 24 frames (tiff) with After Effects and this seems to have worked .

After all this I am dissapionted with the Up Rez of Photozoom . Way to many lines moving around now .

Thanks everyone for your help
Ian
