Most affordable good matebox in the world

Can inexpensive matebox when it's fitted and placed properly cause vigneting or some other picture problems? If not why don't you build your own, at the end it is just a box that makes good shade over the lenses, and lets you put some filters in front of them. Take some pieces of thin wood boards cut them to proper sizes, glue them, pvc tubes that will go slightly over the lenses, paint all that to mate black and make some kind of simple support system that will have holes to fit rails and some screws to tighten it, a piece of wood, plastic or aluminium are the softest to work with but strong enough for this. With little bit of patience ou can make a matebox that will look very good. And the french flags? O why to give all that money for some simple thin board of plastic painted mate black. You can make all UN flags sewn together, not yust french, using some pieces of plastic, if you want. You don't need to bother and make filter beds in a home made matebox as most of us will not use them. If you don't have money to spend it on a matebox then you won't have a money to spend on some good filters. You don't want to put some cheap filters in front of your HD camera. Especialy if 35mm adapter and some lenses are allready attached to it.
Am I right?

Sure, if you want to use this thing once or twice.

Subjected to any amount of wear and tear, a good matte box will show its true colors.

Not from inside, where is most important.
I guess the only problem in all this is ability of one to make this thing good.

Just begs the question why you'd want to put a cheap mattebox on a realtively expensive camera.

Because the reletively expensive camera ate most of the funds, and anything for use with cameras is three times as expensive as what you have left to spend?

You got it right.
Most of us who got HVX lost lot of savings, and is it better for picture quality to have any matebox than none?

If it work, it's worth it. If it's more hassle than a benefit, it isn't woth the savings. I've seen people even form crude french flag and sides out of cardboard and gaffers tape. Sure, it works, but very crudely, and without any of the features one of the more expensive boxes. Stuff like stages for rotating filters and adjustable flags. Search through these forums a bit, and you'll find more affordable alternatives for us brokea$$ folk.
