Meet Noel & Charli at Bubba Gumps Saturday

Damn! I missed it! Would love to finally meet you, Charli! Was prepping for my first shoot day (really a screen test) all afternoon. Let me know when the next one is!
 
Recap:

I hooked up with Noel and Tommy first. May I say that Noel is exactly how I imagined him: blond, smart, cool mate. I'm so glad we worked on, "My Tokyo Angel" together. Tommy was a hoot. Nice gent and a great conversationalist. I didn't get a chance to talk to Brian much, not sure what his user name is, but he's a really cool guy. Brought his camera and Merlin along, gotta love it. DC came late and left early, but really enjoyed chatting with him. Food was great, conversation was great, this is one cool community.

After lunch Noel, Tommy and I headed over to the air hockey tables at the arcade. I know Noel and Tommy had three beers, but really, playing with them, well, I thought I was playing with a couple of girls. I kicked their asses!

I look forward to meeting more of you LA dvxusers, in a group setting or 1-1. Rez, let's meet in a couple of weeks and have some lunch.

God, you gotta love saying, "Let's do lunch." Now, all I need is people so I can say, "My people will get in touch with your people."

Thanks guys for showing up on Saturday. That was so much fun!

hmmmm.................well i was there! at 12:30 i didn't see yous....i tried calling but your number don't work...........i looked and looked and i asked for the Charli table no luck.............
 
HOLY CRAP! The table was under Tommy's name and we were seated downstairs, which was odd. I'll pm you my number again. DC was able to text it just fine. Funny, as I was sitting there, I had this feeling someone might be waiting. I even asked Tommy if he had everyone's number who was coming.

I'm sorry, Kimmy. Looks like I'm buying you lunch next week. You pick the place at the Promenade and we'll meet for lunch. I look forward to seeing your ugly mug, I mean that in the nicest of ways.

yep yep yep yep.....i went downstairs and asked a few people if they were with Charli's group. i was wearing black with a baseball cap on. i was biking had me pump in hand ready to pump you guys up! you had to have seen me unless you were ducking me!
 
hahah, they probably did not know whether too look for a caveman, a Native American, or a tough guy, or any other of the thousands of disguises you wear, heheh. :grin:

that's always a sucky feeling though, to go to the trouble of meeting people and just miss them :beer:
 
There was a Japanese television crew and cast next to us so we were so busy talking about them, we probably didn't even see you. Kimmy, let's arrange a meet for lunch, I so look forward to seeing you. Dang, we were right out in the middle too, couldn't miss us. Dang, dang, dang.
 
Even Jack showed up. Granted he scared the hell out of people, but he apologized, so it was cool...

oh wow i walked right up to the corner tabe right by the japanese filming and asked if they were Charli group. you guys were right there when i walked by you. i looked right at you guys. i have short hair no beard, i had shorts on and a bicycle pump in my hand. i stood right in front of you guys.
 
yeah Jacks right i forgot about my wannabe Lon Chaney disguises....well thats the closest, but 2 years older.

Come to think of it, I remember a guy walking by with a bicycle pump... thinking to myself, "Why does that guy have a bicycle pump?" It was a reddish color, right?
 
I have a legit excuse, I placed my perscription sunglasses on the table while I was engaged in conversation with Tommy and Noel. I couldn't see you if you were Forrest Gump himself. That sucks, but you know Kimko, I'd rather have you all to myself at lunch - heh. We'll hook up in a couple of weeks.

I don't remember seeing anyone with a bike pump, all I noticed was the Japanese film crew.
