Anyone use the Tiffen steady stick?

Yes, I love it, especially for the money.

However, it's not a poor man's steadycam device. It allows you to comfortably hold your camera (even ENG types) for a long time. You become the "tripod", and it allows for some cool "body boom" type shots with the pivot on the belt.

You can also put it a little above a crowd to get some tough shots.

I used one for 6 hours on a whale watching trip. I don't get seasick, and with my sea legs I got some very nice shots, even in tidal surge.

Well worth $100.

I've got one, but haven't used it for a shoot. Actually I'll be using it tomorrow to shoot a equine rules seminar and will have more to say later.

Need to know if it's a good product for some walking shots.

Thanks

I doubt it would be goood at all for a *walking shot*. That is, if the camera operator is walking while wearing the thing, it'd probably be worse than normal handheld.

i love mine. for the price it is a great little device. i did do some walking shots with it and it wasn't as bad as you might think.
