Any company in LA buys used sound equipment?

Used is hardly the proper term in this case because I bought a Schoeps CMC6 MK41 a few months ago. I love it but what I really need are 2 high quality lavs.

Don't want to do a trade, I just want to sell my Schoeps and then go buy something. I wish I could keep both but am low on funds.

Any companies just buy from you if you bring it down there?
 
Location sound, Coffey Sound, TV Pro Gear. All of these may buy it outright but dont expect to get any more than about 30-40% of retail value when selling directly to a retail outlet. You could leave it with them on consignment, I think they take 15-20% of the sale but it may take a while.
 
I would put a posting on RAMPS and Jeff Wexler's site. A good MK41 will go quickly and you won't have to pay a percentage to seller. You might have to set up it up COD since the buyer won't know you well enough to trust you.

Nick at Gotham Sound (in NY not LA) told me they don't charge for their consignment sales but of course you would have to send it across the country.

Selling a Schoeps in mint condition should not be any problem no matter what you do.

Whoops, misread your post. How much do you want? do you take paypal? I am interested in buying your schoeps. Please post pics and in one of them please show the serial numbers for the body and capsule. Ask mumin for a recommendation as I bought his Schoeps not too long ago.[/quote]
