LOL. Yeah, Ask Cynic... he'll be happy to tell you. He's out on set or getting some sleep, though. So you'll have to ask him later.

However, I just got back from shooting oh.. a 13 hour day or something and we only went through 3 8gigs. 1080i24p, 720p24pn, 720p24Pn/60.

I love P2... to deaf.

Pretty easy to demonstrate. Output a DV still and an HD still, blow them both up to the size of your plasma screen and carefully observe. No contest. Maybe someone has a couple of sample files to post - maybe zoomed in to show the pixellization of the DV - if not, I can.

what the title says

It would depend on your purposes. For a commercial, music video, or a narrative short or feature - P2. For a documentary, or other types of things where you might only get one take - a tape based medium, perhaps accompanied with a dual backup of something like a Firestore - to increase ease of use.

Hey, quit taunting those of us still driving the '89 Taurus! Does the DVX at least count as a SHO?

The DVX is to Mini DV as THoes guys that drop 8 cylynder engines and retune the exhaust on that Taurus to make it like, compete with a Vette. While its still a Taurus, it has some muscle behind it.
