300- Zach Snyder's new ride

i thought the narrator worked it suppose to seem over glorious and powerful... but not like anyone here could make the 300 or better so i dont see why we bite on it so hard. Its fun night out with a film... how many of those do you get?

To the people who say it looks "fake" I dont think you get it. The idea, is that it is supposed to look surreal, not photo-realistic. This is like animation with people. IMHO saying it doesnt look "real" is like saying that Roger Rabbit didnt look real. DUH...

Saw it, enjoyed it.

Definitely agree with this review:

Fills a much needed gap between gay porn and military recruitment video.

I finally saw this movie and really liked it. Amazing what you can do with green screen. I haven't read through this entire thread so I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but it kinda reminded me of Lord of the Rings, with a side of Braveheart, sprinkled with some Troy, and Gladiator to drink.:smile:

Im going to go see it AGAIN in Imax, because 12,000 Watts of sound with a 15,000 watt projector just make things better.
:-D

This is almost a direct quote from George Lucas's commentary on Star Wars....

:eek:

I Loved It. It Was Better Than Cats. I Will See It Again and Again.

AND...

Akira Kurasawas "Hidden Fortress" served as inspiration in the Original film, one instant being the first conference room scene in the Death Star.

"Hidden Fortress" came out in 1958.

1 + 9 + 5 + 8 = 23

OMFG!

AND...

The longer snowtrooper weapon in Empire was actually an MG34 machine gun from Germany.

If, a=1, b=2, c=3 etc.

M=13
G=7

1 + 3 + 7 = 11

34 - 11 = 23

OMFG!

I agree. The look fits totally. I believe at times we are so caught up in the science of what made up the movie that we forget to be entertained by the movie its self. I saw many things about the movie that were not historically correct, and do really dought that the 300 Spartans built a wall of that magnitude in such a small time frame after a full day filled of fighting thousands of Persians. No mention of there fellow greeks mighty navy, but instead of trying to pick it apart, I decided to be entertained. I loved the movie. It was a great night out. Lets face it. I have never seen anyone from China looked like thee immortals. They were FICTITIOUS monsters, not people.

I think maybe a Chinese person would look like that, in the end stages of leprosy.

Of course, so would anybody else.
