10 Fresnals or 2 HMI's?

Hi Guys,

I'm interested in buying some lighting however since the price of HMI is so expensive I could only afford 2 compact HMI's.

I was looking at some Fresnals, and I could get quite a few however anything more then a 1.2k I most likely would not use.

What would be better 10 fresnals or 2 compact HMI's any sugguestions?:violent5:

you use them for completely different things. If you need the HMIs, get those. If you needed indoor stuff, those HMI's will be WAY too bright and unwieldy.

if 1200w fresnel is more than you'll ever use, why would you want an HMI?

One HMI and 5 tungsten sources. Different tools for different applications. If you must choose, then go with the tungsten. More lights gives you greater flexibility.
