heard of these brands?

For background stands, Adorama sells JTL, Savage, Interfit...and one name I'm familiar with, at a higher price, Westcott.

Anyone know the first three and have advice? I don't know if it's safe to look for a bargain with these things, or if (as usual) you get what you pay for.

I know you can find JTL's on Ebay. Do a search and check the feedback of the seller. I have never used any of these however.

I can't recommend JTLs, their fasteners are plastic and wear out quick.
On a recent shoot, the person who owned them was using softboxes and had to tilt the lights back because the fasteners wouldn't hold them in place.

I've heard JTL's are horrible for their flashes for photography. I can't say much about their video lights.

I've decided to go with the Westcott Background Support System. Looks good for the price (about $170).
