I need a shot of a guy running uphill.. but the shot needs to be a wide shot from the side, so the guy is basically running from one side of the screen to the other. woudl be cool if the hill is kinda irregular not just a steady slope (a hiking trail would do nicely but most arent visible from the side w/o being obscured by trees and such)

anyone aware of something like this in NY/NJ?

It's amazing, but every place I think of in NJ has trees, unless you shoot on a golf course, but you probably don't want fairways in your shot.

If you're near Northern NJ or in NYC you could try Bear Mountain and Seven Lakes drive. Lots of hiking trails and hilly.

You could also try Ramapo Reservation in Mahwah, NJ.

it would be amazing to find any real hills in NJ. You could try the Deleware Water Gap, but its alittle bit of a drive from NYC.

I dont' need it to be terribly huge. figure the wide shot should encompass about 50 feet side to side and elevation should go up at least 1/2 screen heigh up )so i guess around 15-20ft?
thanks

I'll bet some of the parks up along the Palisades Parkway have that kind of incline. Potentially without trees in the way.

Ah, and there are definitely steep inclines around Weehawken and north of there near the Hudson. You'll find your spot if you scout around there.

Can't you just tilt the camera so it looks like they're running uphill?
well, for full effect that I need, it would be better if it were an actual hill .. espcially one w/ like dirt/rocks, etc
