Christopher Walken

the funniest thing that has ever happened was Chris offering to drive in Annie Hall.

he does more with less screentime than anyone.
Yeah, if there was one guy to get in your movie, it'd be him.

Wow... I've been a big fan of his for a long time, but I don't think I ever looked him up on IMDB before. I had no idea he's been acting since 1953!

I would have guessed he started in the early 70's or so, but never 53.

And I'll agree with a lot of the films chosen here, but definitely "The Dead Zone". He was spot on in that movie, and it's still a great one.

Who said "Nick of Time"? - - - that movie just blew ;)

. . . For me those really small roles that you remember forever are always the ones that make an actor great though... hence why I like True Romance & Pulp Fiction. Prophecy and King of NY (while I have them listed as favorites) are too easy because he was the star.

In True Romance Walken made a memorable character out of five minutes of screen time. Brad Pitt did the same in that film with his honey bear bong smoking character... just really great performances in small roles (Samuel L Jackson did the same with his going down conversation and that was under a minute of screen time in that same film... Gandolfini was also great... damn, True Romance is just an amazing picture)

Yeah, 'True Romance,' is a gem from the 90's. Great film with an all-star cast! I just got the unrated director's cut double-disc DVD a few weeks ago. Wow . . . good stuff . . .

All great roles for him. I think he's much better as a supporting actor that when he has to carry the movie himself. Another movie that he had a great monologue in and no one has mentioned was:
Poolhall Junkies

I second that motion. I am amazed at how many people haven't seen this flick. It's a great one.

He looks really funny in that goofy ping-pong movie that's coming out, Balls of Fury. "'Ping-pong', or as the Chinese say, 'Ping-Pong'..."

The Prophecy, heh, one of my film school teachers shot that. Apparently the budget was pretty shoestring--the script said "an angel and a demon fall from heaven in an epic supernatural battle" or some such, but it was shot as second-unit and he had like a couple of dudes to work with, one an extra and the other a grip who got roped into it, and he had to do the rest with lighting and composition, you know, cinematography. ...Off-topic, sorry.
