Canon Fd v.s. Nikon Lenses: Which looks better?

I know everyone has different tastes of "looks", I'm just wondering because I bought the redrock micro.. and all the samples on the website say that they used Nikon lenses.

I had canon FD lenses so naturally I chose the canon FD mount. I'd like to hear someones opinion on both of these lenses, I feel that the Canon FD lenses gives it that old film look .. something like u see in the 80's. Of course we are trying to move closer to the look of 35mm .. do u think nikon lenses has the look more so than the canon FD?

very diffcult question,It is like asking is Sony better or Panasonic?
I have both. Canon is cheaper. They are both good brands. Most important is the F-stops. Get the fastest lens you can afford. I'm still looking to get my hands on a Nikon 35mm F0.9. anybody seen one?

while i have heard of this once, isnt this technically impossible?? i thought by defintion F1.0 is "all light tha'ts available" .. so F0.9 would be actually more light coming out of the lens than coming into it...

No it's not.
f stops are a geometric formula. Lets say you have a lens with a focal length of 100mm and an aperture of 50mm, divide 50 into 100 and you get f2. If the aperture were 100mm it would be f1. If it was 150mm it would be f .66 and so forth.

I'm using Canon FD's on my Brevis and am very happy, will also be using some nikon's too. The big plus for nikon's is they use the same mount which can't be said for various Canon lenses. I've found that Canon lenses are cheaper than Nikon's. If using Canon's get the S.S.C versions, I think Nikkor's are the upper class for Nikon. Also research every lense before you buy it. Obviously with the redrock buy the fastest lenses you can afford.

With regard to the F0.9 lense, wouldn't it be a little flat?
