For those of you who know me, it's no secret for anyone that I'm a G35 fanatic. Since the first day the first images hit the web I've become an uncontrollable raging fanatic. And for the last years the G35 has haunted me day after day. I cannot take it anymore. I HAVE to reveal what REALLY happened to cinemek, to the G35 and to my good friend Jonathan Houser. I regret to say it might be MY FAULT the G35 is not out yet.

Please be aware that the images bellow you MAY shock you and disturb your senses.

I also miss you, Jonathan! Where are you?

PS -- Maybe there's a Houser inside the RED reservation list, who knows if it's there the true reason?!...

come on guys if you know sth but can´t talk about it, be old enough to just keep quiet about it and don´t play the old "I know sth you don´t but can´t tell´ya" game...
I´m normaly not a spoilsport and no offence, but the G35 probably is THE dvxuser legend, and many here are still longing for it finally comming true...
The Misery version of the G35 legend made me lough though hehehe

Based on this news, I'm considering shifting some of my funds from my Duke Nukem Forever account into my G35 account. I hope my line number is still good! :)

I'm still 100% G35 supportive. It still has many people supporting it here in Europe. Specially in France.

What did Jonathan used for the groundglass?
I read somewhere it was a wax-gg and he used Mobilwax 2305 (not produced anymore) the new name is Waxrex 2405.

If thats true you could easily build your own G35 with a wax-gg.
For the wax-gg see my tutorial its the same principle. This mobilwax has a higher melting point then my paraffin-bees-wax-mix.

It's almost definitely (98% sure) wax and it's slightly yellow in color. It is quite grainy; I've made wax GG that's far less grainy. Even at f1.4 you can see grain sometimes.

That said, the design is pretty good and better than home made stuff, despite basically being home made. The achromat (which may or may not be century optics) is excellent. This thing compares with the mini35 and in some cases favorably. (The beta, that is.)

The grain is no problem I can put it in one of my vibrating gg-holders. If I only can get some waxrex 2405 or mobilwax 2305 I would make some wax-gg's and test them.

I found also a optics company that produces fullsize!!! 72mm coated achromats the price is something around USD 500,-.

Daniel,

I've done research on the WaxRex2405. It's the same as Microcrystalline wax. The only available WaxRex2405 available is in bulk. There are only a limited hanfull of companies that have it. Although WaxRex is in the yellow colors, so that might be the wax G35 used.
