Alright, i use both vegas and after effects. I figured out how to flip the image in vegas, which is just 'vertical flip'.

In after effects, I thought just rotating the image to 180 degrees would be correct, but its not. In after effects, when i rotate the image...the object is on the left side......in vegas...if i do vertical flip....my same object is on the right. ????

which one is the right one?

Try unlocking the scale in AE and inputting a -100 value on the right (x) value. That should do what you are looking to do.

Nope, still doesn't work. Still looks different

Here is the original footage, backwards captured in vegas

I went to crop/pan and did 'VERTICAL FLIP', and this is what i get.

Now, I did what you told me to do ' - 100 ' in scale (right side). This is the same result i get when i rotate 180 degree also.

please help, i need it to loook the same in both after effects and vegas

nvrmind, i think i got it.

when i set the scale to -100, it did it in both sides. I put 100, -100 and it worked. thanks man

make it a 3d object(by clicking the checkbox under the little cube) in AE and flip the original by changing the X orientation to 180.

hm, wouldn't making it a 3D object make the render time a lot longer than just changing the scale to -100? I haven't tried it yet ....

Not unless you animated it, and then, only slightly. He's right, I just tried it and it works.
