Wages of Sin in Burbank...

Anyone in the Burbank, CA area tonight? If so check out the "Spike" network. They should be running ads for the film. The 30 second ad on the TimeCode Mechanics site was modified a bit for television but they started playing it last night. So if you're around see if you can catch it. MTV and Cartoon Network will also be showing it during the overnights. The zip-codes are 91501 - 91506

We started by contacting local networks. It's actually very tricky as the local and cable networks can both cost several thousand bucks. Originally this was supposed to run in Chicago. It got all the way to the top but the week it was supposed to show they canceled it because we live in a society of litigious jerks and they were afraid someone would sue them if they didn't like the contents of the film (if our film was porn or if we changed our site's content).

Also lot of places will not carry ads for unrated movies and LA will not take our ads. (No matter what's said its mainly because they're competition). You guys have all seen my ad so you know it's very tame. I even took out the drug reference and added more martial arts action before it even went to the broker but it was turned down. They simply say because of the "content" but don't list any reason.

Doesn't matter as it turns out it was a true blessing in disguise as we ended up with more spots for less in Burbank. If everything goes well and we can sustain this process, pay the bills (about $15,000 in debt right about now) and put a little back for ourselves I'll be pretty darn happy.

The ads will be running in the 91501 - 91506 zipcodes so far. Run to Burbank right now!!!! :)

Problem is, I don't know anyone in Burbank so I'd be knocking on doors... "Hi, can I watch your TV? You have to tune to the Spike network though..." :)

Oh, from the title I thought this was going to be a rant about how much you were getting paid at work.

Currently, making films is my work and hopefully it will begin paying off.
