Casablanca! I have been MIA from the board for a while, but this should be a cool discussion no matter which is picked.

I voted My Fair Lady.

A little embarassing sometimes to admit, but truly one of my top films. Haven't seen it in a while though, this makes me want to go dig it out of my collection and watch it again.

Well shot, good songs, and, well, Audrey Hepburn.

Nothing to be embarrased about. That's my absolute favorite musical and a great, great film.

And yes, Audrey. :love4:

I just noticed the vote is 7 to 7 now. This is too intense. :kali:

And I'm going crazy with the smileys. Sorry. :embarasse

Yikes... a tie.

I'm also a big fan of My Fair Lady. There are very few musicals I can sit through - Singin' In The Rain, An American in Paris... South Pacific on a rare occassion. Having Ms. Hepburn up front and center makes that one all the more easy to take in.

One of the most beautiful women who ever was. Although...

This princess is definitely at the very top of my favorites list.

Well, the unofficial rules state that, in the event of a tie, we'll be watching and discussing those films that returned equal votes. So, for the March (long month, don't sweat it!) DVXUser 100 Films Discussion we've got...

Alfred Hitchcock's 1958 thriller Vertigo

and...

Michael Curtiz' 1942 masterpiece, Casablanca

This should be a great month for movies then!

Great to see this tie.

Cool! Haven't seen Casablanca, but now my girlfriend and I will have to watch it! (She hasn't seen it either)

Brandon, I've already ordered a copy of Casablanca for your permanent collection, just PM me with your mailing address. That's how certain I am that it'll become one of your personal favorites.

I think we're all sharp enough to keep both films within the same thread, so let's just tag our posts with:

VERTIGO

Blah, blah blah...

CASABLANCA

And so on and so forth...

Hey E,
I don't want to throw a monkey wrench into your system, but I feel that having a thread for each movie would keep the discussion flowing more smoothly and allow those interested in only one (or who have seen only one of the two) the option to read and join in on a nice discussion of the one movie. By the way, good call on having both. Now I get to study them both to make informed comments. Will definitely be fun as both are awesome in different ways.

I see it as a cross-promotional enhancement.

Sold! I'm going to watch Casablanca now. Today has turned into a 4 movie day. Saw Children of Men, then snuck into The Queen, then watched an awesome doc on graffiti in NYC in the early 80's called Style Wars and now Casablanca. A good day. All solid movies.

The mods killed it or it died for lack of interest. I don't know where stickys go to die. Hmmm... Where Do Stickys Go To Die? could be a sequel to Bladerunner.
