I think Oleg 2 is a joke... with way to much pride and arrogance. My opinion for the money the RODE NTG-1 is a great mic for the money. especially for a shotgun on cam mic. for under $200 it works fine. I own one and I would consider myself a professional being in the tv and news gathering biz for over 5 years Oleg 2 just needs a soap box some were else!

I will reply and say you need to learn how to spell and quit cussing others or you will be band for the third time... Or were the first two times an accident because you know more than any one else here? like I said before you are a joke!!! not even a professional. Or you would treat others with respect... As it is said in the biz you are a star in your own mind and nothing to others... So by all means keep it up and you will leave this earth a sad person.. Not that it matters but I have 3 degrees. In animation, video production and multi track digital recording I spent 5 years in tv and now own my own production co. so I do have a leg to stand on when I call you out. Now back to the subject of mics the RODE NTG-1 is a good mic and until some one gets a $100,000 job it will be fine... No point in spending a small fortune on audio when it's... Oh ya it is "A picture says a thousand words" not the audio so to any one reading this first try to get your shooting down and goo lighting then worry about the expencive audio products,be sides you can do a lot in post to fix things if you need. my best wishes to all even Oleg 2

if you cant tell the different between the shity rode and sennheiser 416 i will pass on you as a free of charge as well .
small fortune has nothing with good sound - you pick the right tools for the job and as i stated before asshole, i can do 10000 comercial with chiniz mic that cost half ,it doesnt say anything what it can do in different cosertantes ( what is the right word for it , **** , my english sucks herebadly) . the rode is a grate camera mic , so even deaf like you can get something without problem , it is not so grate when you recording noton camera and need better tools for clarity and presise , ( just for clarification my dear , i have 6 shotguns which all have their ++ and ---) and as one who really like mics i put the rode in the lowest chain of choosing one .
i am sad that people like you usually take brad from these who really deserve it
whish you go to your privius profession and clear the field for someone who really can hear.

And if you think Oleg spells poorly in english, see how well you spell in his native tongue...whatever the hell that is.

yep -and use ntg-2 ,it will give you another couple of inches for the hard on
i will also suggest you make another degree in how to stay an asshole and survive in the business , but maybe you can teach the course as you know so well this subject already
