Marshall 7" needs to be modified for use with HVX?

We´re still using the SD-in only version of the Marshall and think of upgrading to the one with analog HD-in.
I just think I remember reading here that some US company was modifying the Marshall to avoid problems the HVX has with it when using together...
Question: is this mod necessary, because I won´t order from the US because of customs and warranty...
Also are there different options for Battery mounts (ours got V-Mount) I can buy afterwards, would like to use either sony or pana (hvx/dvx) batteries for ease of use... or is there a cheaper/lighter alternative?
Thanks!

Not sure what you mean. I have used my HVX with the marshall hd, never once had a problem.

If you buy your Marshal from Nebtek, which I did, you can get any popular battery mount you need.

So the Monitor wasn´t adjusted by Nebtek, to better work with the HVX...?
Again, just curious, I´m in Europe and will buy there, but there don´t seem to be different battery mounts or special HVX adjustements available here...

Bob at Nebtek told me once "actual Marshall comes out ok". Issue (I forgot exactly what it was, fine colour calibration?) was on some earlier units.
If you want to use Pana batteries, I don't know if there's a cheeper way than buying from Nebtek (+shipment+duty). If you find it, please post

The issue was that the monitor would flicker randomly, supposedly only when connected to an HVX. I had to send my monitor out twice. However, now it works great- it was fixed by Marshall. I assume that all of the new marshalls have been properly modified to not flicker. The mount for camcorder batteries (not related to the flicker issue) is provided by Nebtek.

Apparently, the flicker issue observed from video feed from some HVX cams, was resolved in respect of the said Marshall units that shipped from Marshall on or after October 2006.

I´m really not sure if I want to go through the hassle of ordering from the US: it´ll take longer, cost more (Customs and VAT...) and if I encounter a problem with the unit I´ll have to sent it overseas...
That said I havn´t found someone in the EU offering a Pana/Sony mod for the Marshall - but the SWIT/Varizoom HD LCD is offered with this option, any thought on this unit?

PS Thanks to all of you for clearing up the "flicker issue"...

The photos of the screens taken of the Marshall and the SWIT further in the above thread, show the Marshall produces a better looking image and colour rendition, imo.
