Intel duo core e6600 and windows xp Home

I was wondering if anyone knows if WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION will utilize a dual core CPU? Or would I need to get XP PROFESSIONAL. Thanks for the help!!!:undecided
 
When going for graphics and video editing i think windows xp pro would be a better option. Ive heard it utilizes ram a little better and has some extended limits of file size that you can have etc. But just my 2 cents. Maybe others will chime in too. Hold on till then.
 
I have an E6300 running XP Home (in an HP Pavalion a1640n off the shelf with new video card installed for dual monitors) and it works great. Can't say there might not be an improvement with pro, but I know for sure it's a HUGE difference from the old P4 processor I had been running.
