Wages of Sin is Complete!!! 2nd Feature Film in the can!

Hi all. Wages of Sin is complete. Check it out at my site TimeCode Mechanics. If you like martial arts films you'll probably enjoy it. We're giving it full court press. A 2 DVD set, plus iPod and PSP downloads.

This was a lot of fun and I hope you guys like it. I know you'll like it more than my last project considering we had a lot more control over the environment and I handled all the choreo myself with a little help from extreme martail artist Shawn Bernal in one scene.

The PSP download isn't ready yet. We're axing the Quicktime version as the iPod version looks good in QT. We may upload a bigger H.264 version soon.

Wow, that looks really great. I'll be sure to check it out.

PS in the first trailer the Wages of Sin theme song doesn't seem to work with the upbeat action. It seems like that music would fit with a darker, slower trailer.

What did you think about the second one?

Yes, I watched the second one and it goes much better with the overall feel. The music there sounds "cooler" than the first one. I would nix the first one alltogether if I were you - the second trailer made me want to watch the movie.

I am thinking about another trailer maybe a one minute and a half. The second trailer got mixed reactions from some of the guys here because I used Garage Band for the music but on youtube it's got a five star rating so it's hit or miss.

Nope we're going straight to the web. We may have a screening after we recoup some cash. But it's crunch time now, gotta get rid of some of this dept as well as make sure the system and downloads working right.

Yeah, it was definitely obvious it was Garageband. GarageBand can be killer but if you mask the software instruments with a friend playing some riffs on a guitar or even drums recorded with your film mic or something, the software instruments kind of blend in. If you don't get it right it can sound manufactured, but I didn't mind in your trailer. In yours it fit the pace of the pictures, and it overall just sounded good.

Monday we're hoping to launch this thing. We've got a little word of mouth going but nothing popping off yet.

Anyone have a favoite magazine or online mag such that reviews these kinds of movies?

I've sent some out to people already. I'm trying to get addresses for these websites: MicrocinemaScene, yourvideostoreshelf and KungFu Cinema.

Hi Nate, even from youtube compression a lot of your shots look good. The trailers however tells me nothing about the story.
