Do all professional music videos do slow-mo?

[phazelee]

I may be wrong, but it seems all the music videos i've seen on mtv has a bit of a slow mo to them. (except hip hop music videos)

Especially slow songs (r&b) has a very tad bit of a slow-mo look to it. To me, adding 10 percent of slow-mo to my dvx100 footage looks very good and more music video-esque.

Yes. As a director, you have to so slo-mo or you wont last long in this business... word will get out that you don't do the whole slo-mo thing and forget trying to find a paying gig...

I'm kidding of course...

Right now it's a fad. Fads pass.

Hip-hop videos use it too.
