B&H processing time...

Maybe i'm just very impatience, but with a not so small order (a1 and accessories) how long should processing take with B&H, i ordered a couple days ago, and it hasn't shipped yet. I checked all the items are still listed as in stock, i suppose i'm just way to antsy.

Call customer service tomorrow. They'll be able to give you an exact eta.

You should receive two confirms [order placed and order shipped].

too bad newegg doesn't sell all of this stuff.

you have to call them to verify your credit card info. they're supposed to call you, but they never do.

It's almost always been very quyick for my orders - within a day. However, the first time or two I ordered I did indeed have to speak with their verification department (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/con...r.jsp&A=getpage&Q=HelpCenter/Verification.jsp) as a protective measure. I guess they develop a "trusted buyer" status over time. This is not the kind of "verification" done by many other companies - they don't try to sell you anything. They're just making sure there's no credit-card fraud taking place.

It's also a good idea to check their holiday schedule when ordering (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/con...p&A=getpage&Q=HelpCenter/HoursOfOperation.jsp) - they're closed most of Friday and all of Saturday, and for various Jewish holidays; this can sometimes cause some delay.

But in general in-stock items ship very fast. Call 'em if you're in doubt!

They usually ship within 2 days for me. I get rather nervous everytime I order from B&H now though since their new policy is that they'll only ship to addresses with phone numbers that they can verify. Totally a pain since I never know when a time sensitive order will get delayed when they can't confirm the address.

If you contact the verification department directly as soon as you order, you should be able to get your order cleared pronto.

Yea, they have this thing where I have to call them from the exact phone # that's on the billing address, else they won't even talk to me, and that's not always possible. I know that the security is to protect both the buyer and the store, but I just wish it's not so annoying. Now I only order from B&H when I know that there's no deadline coming up and I have time to sort out anything that goes wrong.

I hate dealing with B&H. They are reputible and usually have all the items you could want. But they can be very rude on the phone.

I've placed a lot of orders with B&H recently, and each has been delayed by "processing" time. They don't seem to ship until AT LEAST the 2nd day after the order. In the past they had a much faster turnaround.

Everything that I've ever ordered from B&H has shipped extremely promptly (within 24 hours) and usually arrives the next day even though I choose the slowest shipping. They've been pleasant on the phone and they have a top notch used department. I rarely spend my money anywhere else.

Shipped out this morning, I couldn't be happier. The B&H website still says processing, but i got the tracking number email. No verification was required. But i did order after their not open during sabath policy, so there were probably a lot of orders to work through.

Thanks for the help in my time of panic lol.

B&H has always been great for me -- last thursday I placed an order at 7:30 am. Only 2 hours later, I had a UPS tracking number. (granted, it was just a book)

now here's the million dollar question, they are delivering today, nobody's going to be home. Will they drop off the package? Or hold on to it?
