FCP HD 16x9 to quicktime 4x3 to idvd

Here is what I am doing. FCP HD 16x9 sequence to quicktime 4x3 file to idvd dvd. The problem the audio is delaying like the timecode is a second behind... anyone know why this is happening? I didn't add any slug spaces at the beginning, is this the problem. Is having leader at the beggining essential to avoid the audio not staying in sync with the video. Any help would be greatly appericated.
 
I have it but it is much more difficult, and it wasn't accepting the format of my project. I used the 720x480 4x3 I thought these setting were best for making a dvd and it worked in idvd. I didn't try it on 720x480 in dvd studio pro I guess I could but the problem will probably happen in either one I imagine.
