That's correct. The flip module will be removable for situations where max light gain is a concern. It will likely work with other adapters too :-)

Can you explain exactly how the flip module will work?

Don't panic. Dennis is still around. I know they moved servers, possibly multiple times. Email was sketchy for awhile. Try PM'ing him on here. And try the Cinevate site again. Your message may have slipped through the cracks.

Dennis is great about responding to PMs and post on the cinevates forum.... i'm sure your adapter will be on its way soon. He's A+ when it comes to customer service so I imagine communication delays had to do with the server issues.

We're definitely getting emails...a lot of them :-) Response on these is suffering basically because we're directing maximum effort into getting caught up with adapter orders. Cinevate became a full time venture last week, so we'll shortly have next day ship on orders, and we'll definitely get a lot more efficient with email too. Most questions on lead times, etc. are already answered over at the cinevate forum. A large investment of money and time has gone into streamlining most of our business processes so we'll see the benefits of all this in a few weeks.

We've gone through three web providers in 4 months in an effort to find one (mission accomplished) that actually achieves 99.9% uptime, has reliable database performance, and could offer bandwidth to the levels we require. With a reliable web provider, and a few new workstations with RAID 5 arrays, everything is 100% on the systems side of things.

Cheers :-)

Hey Mabusinc,

I know exactly how you feel. I'm in the same boat. My Brevis is now going into late delivery for the sixth week. I have a shoot coming up and it looks like I'll have to tell the producers we won't be able to shoot with the adapter. :crybaby:

I can tolerate email problems, but six weeks late (and counting) for delivery really sucks. I sure hope it's worth it. Someone please tell me it's worth the wait. Please....

Are you guys on the Cinevate boards? Your issues might fall on more open ears there. I know Dennis just went full-time on this stuff a couple weeks ago and has really ramped up production. Last I read (yesterday), he thought he'd be through all of the orders in about three weeks and was up to order #387 as of this moment. I hope it's worth it, too, as I'm #507.

Hey JasonFox,

No disrespect, but I don't think he's finished up to #387. If that were the case, I would have gotten my order a very long time ago. Hmmm....I think maybe I should have ordered the M2.

No disrespect taken. I can only report what I read. But I know that number was as of Friday -- but I don't know how many they did in one batch. I think a ton as the put some new equipment online. Dennis said his goal was to be clear of back orders by the (I think) third week in March.

I just sold my M2 to get the Brevis, btw. We'll see how that works out.

Guys, what I had posted in the cinevate forum (which is a good place to look for answers btw), is that we would be completely caught up with orders, and have stock for immediate delivery by mid to late March. Lead time for current orders is therefore 3-4 weeks, and all orders made up to the end of January, should have shipped out by the end of February.

The entire team is working long hours to get the work done, and rest assured, we will be caught up very soon. Our CNC shop has brought another 4 axis mill online for our work (for a total of three) and this is making a big difference.

Hey Film Crazy, its definitely worth the wait.

Dennis, thanks for posting and emailing to everyone. I just came across this thread and noticed the post you mentioned to me :)

I just realized New York has the highest Brevis/per capita ratio in the world :-)

Seriously though, if any of you New Yorkers can help Hezues out with an adapter this weekend, call him at 914 774 7162. These guys will get their adapter on Monday, but the shoot is tomorrow! They'll drive anywhere in NY to get it..and I'll throw in a $100 product credit and adapter-safe-return gurantee if you help them out!

Cheers,
Dennis.
