Powerbook G4 and a P4 PC which is barely ever on. Running protools in the photo, working on some music

From what I've seen so far, about 99% of these setups have some kind of Star Wars toy or figure somewhere in the setup. Pathetic.

...

I love you guys...

which is better for editing, a crt monitor or an lcd monitor?

or does it even make a difference?

It might make a difference to your desk space, heat output, and eye comfort, but not for the purposes of editing.

You want to be previewing out to a production monitor or at least a TV, anyway, so for judgments as to what the final output of the video will look like should be made on THAT screen and not your computer monitor.

thanks david. if i wanted to preview full screen from a computer to a standard television, how would i go about doing that?

Yep, 17" goodness :) I love this laptop. It's all I need to edit HD. Works fantastic! I want to build myself a really POWERFUL desktop system for my home, and just tote my laptop to and from work (I use external HDD's, so I can just plug em' in whereever I need to edit). But I am waiting for those new AMD's to come out and see how they match up to the Intel's.
