how important is the graphic card for FCP

[cordvision]

Hello,
I'm just curious how important the graphic card for FCP is? Does it matter at all as long as you don't do any 3d stuff?

Regards,
Michael

Depends - for basic editing, not much difference. For Motion and GPU accelerated plugins, significant. For the next version of Final Cut, which I'm guessing is coming out later this year, I'm guessing it'll be significant, as it is widely rumored that the GPU will play a much more significant role.
