Pushing Video like Apple KeyNote

I would like to push a video like Apple does with their keynotes. And I will slide on the left side a matte with text. then when I am done with the text want to reverse it. Has anyone done this yet?

Refrence Link: It opens up with the kenote on the slant, but to watch it go to a slant in motion, you have to scrub through to 5mins 29 seconds to 4mins 48seconds. I dont need the video on the right to flip around like it does, just need it to push into a slant and then push bach to full when I am done with the text.

If I understand correctly, in FCP, highlight the clip to be effected in the Timeline window. In the Canvas window, set it to Wireframe + Image. Now, look at your Tools Pallette, second tool set from the bottom, this is the Distort and Crop tool set. You want the Distort tool, keybord shortcut is d. Grab each corner of the image in the Canvas and move it where you want it.

One thing to pay attention to in the clip you refer to is that they acuatlly shot the iPods from the side. You see the side edge of the produt. Simply using a distortion tool to fake this will not make it turn sideways and show you what wasn't shot.
