FS-100 Firmware Upgrade More Time????

Every question on this thread is answered in the 3.0 User Manual that is a PDF on the disk you got.

I also have a FREE tutorial on getting your P2 footage into FCP, using the FRC, etc. I can't list it in my posts anymore, but it's free, and very helpful. PM me and I'll send you the direct link to download it.

And Barry, did I read that right - you can't record in version 3 in 1080 and get PN???
There is no such thing as 1080pN in any circumstances. Not to the FS-100, not to P2 cards, not to a CinePorter.

pN only exists with 720, not 1080.

If I have recorded in 720/50p is it possible to play at 25 fps from FS-100 to show the rushs in slow motion ? (without connecting to FinalCut) Thanks

On the FS-100 they'll only play at their normal speed. The FS-100 has no fuction to slow or speed clips up on it's own.

BTW, just got official word, the FS-100 does not support VRF in Native modes... yet.

So if I have recorded in 720/50p the FS-100 will play at 50fps ? And if I recorded in 720/25p FS-100 will play at 25p ?

The FS-100 can't play back clips like the P2 cards can. No matter what frame rate you shoot at, the FS-100 will play it back in "real time". You cannot preview fast-motion or slow-motion effects from the FS-100.

Variable Frame Rates at this time are NOT supported in Native recording modes on the 3.0 version of the FS-100. To get VFR with the FS-100, you have to use P2 or QuickTime, not P2 N, not QuickTime N.
