DIY light ring - need some help with wires...

Have you tried to mod one? I have seen others on the web now that I have researched and some from the USA instead of UK. Is this something that you have attempted and it worked?

I would BUY NOW it is only $1.00 difference and you don't have to wait for it.
The shipping is the killer - $10.00.

Well, we make and sell LED lights, and every now and then we buy this and that, to see what's out there. This one is neat, and should work for your application. It's no way a replacement for a Gekko lenslite or siimilar. But it's $14, shipped!

Robert86; it has a buy now. Just buy, pay, and receive. :)

No, it isn't "killer". It's semi-standard practice of Hong Kong (and some Chinese) sellers. They make the item's price extremely low, and the shipping & handling a little higher. It's a way to circumvent eBay's end-of-auction fees. Not completely 100% kosher, but there you have it.

It's the reason I listed the price incl. shipping. They could say the light is $12.00, and shipping is $2.00, it still makes it $14.00 to the buyer.

For $14.00 it's a neat light, basta.

True - when you look at it that way. For a $2.00 item, it seems a lot for shipping, but the item is probably worth more then that in reality. I am guessing you are using Hong Kong as an example because these are out of UK.
I just wonder what the colour temperature is of those lights - Vidled, do you know?

It's a cheap item. It's not great. It's not a Gekko. It's worth the 14 bucks.
Color is pretty decent. You willl find the same as with your search for LEDs though, and that is that not all the 24 LEDs are exactly the same color temps. They might be, but no guarantee. Maybe buy two, so you can mix & match.

Well, it puts into perspective all the work I have been putting into my own light. I am still going forward with my DIY, but I am going to see if the UFO guy will ship to Canada and see what I can do with it.
