BluLine fresnels???

I spoke to the owner today about his lights. He is very proud of them, and claims the construction is similar, and in some cases better than Arri"s..
( I will find out for myself soon) His 1k fresnels are only $ 300 bucks including lamp and barndoors..plus shipping of course. I plan on ordering at least 1- 1k fresnel for my arsenel....I'll give a review in a few weeks. This price is directly from him and not from an ebay price.

yeah this could really be great for all of us on a budget - this is exactly what i've been waiting for - something with decent quality that wont break the bank (i guess i'm not the only one waiting for that ;))
if you speak to the owner again, find out about softboxes too .. sure would be great not to pay $65 - $100 for an adapter ring :)

I won a bid on one on ebay last night for 200! I was just kiddin' thinking it would go for more, but nobody bid... $199!
I ended up talking with him to find out he deals Alzos too, and I switched over to a great deal on an Alzo 800 with barn-doors soft box stand and honeycomb... I'll be honest and say that I was looking for Arri 650s to make my package look more professional besides the versatility of th 300 500 and 650 bulb... Impress is something that the silver and blue does easily... but I wanted more output per watt and I don't want to use $25 100hs bulbs when I need to experiment so much...
should be proud of going for what I need over looks, hope the 800 is everything I've read it should be

Shawneous, The 1k, that I am ordering has the same bulb as the Arri 1k fresnel. Same for the Blu-line 650..same as Arri...

lol, I checked ack to see if anyone got one and I clicked on the link again... it is the one I won! lol!

I bet this one can be won for the starting bid of $199 it ends @ 1 AM Pasific time and the guy is in Laguna so if u r in LA it will get to you Thursday

We're waiting on your report on those Mr. Guinea Pig.... err....... USLatinContent.

So please do give a detailed report as soon as you receive yous.

Edit: Just re-read your post... you say you SWITCHED to an Alzo? I originally misunderstood that you complimented the BluLine with Alzo accessories.

In any case... how much did it all run you?

Yes, I did switch, and I just got it today... but they didn't ship me the barn-doors honeycomb filter and the soft-box :(
I can't say, but Stan was very generous to me in that he extended the savings from the bidding on e-bay to the Alzo kit. On the site it goes like this:

$408 Light with soft-box and stand
$21 Honeycomb filter
$29 Barn-doors

$460 TOTAL

Anyone tested these out yet?? It's been a while since someone answered back. I'm dying to know and I am thinking of buying one. I just have this fear they'll be like the briktek lights. They really made a bad name for thierselves.

I'm reading the details on ebay right now. You have a 30 day money back guarantee so if I were you I'd test the crap out of the light before that time ends. Ha. Thanks for the quick reply. I can't wait to hear the good or bad news when you have it.

I should have it this week. I too have been impatient, but am looking forward to giving this baby a detailed, photographic autopsy. Sorry for delay, out of my hands.
