Image West Arri look a likes

I did a search and didnt see any post on the Arri Lookalike 650 lights that Image West is selling. Has anyone use these and if so what are your comments on these.
 
Bluline fresnels....There is a post just the other day...Not many replies, but I have one on order and will leave a detailed summary of my light after I receive it.
 
Great! I would be very interested in knowing what you think about these.
The price seems right but I dont want to buy something that is going to fall apart in a few weeks.
 
yeah they started putting them up on ebay like a week ago and i posted about them - cant wait to hear reviews
 
If they are built close to an Arri, might not be a bad deal. Have to wait and see what Filmat11 has to say.
 
I saw them once about 5 months ago, but never followed up..Looking forward to my new 1K.
Light,barndoors and bulb = $ 300 bucks plus shipping.
 
Good price for sure. filmat could you also post up some close pics when you get yours? I need a couple of 1k fresnels at the moment
 
The 650W doesn't seem that much of a bargain, and only cheaper than the real ARRI by about the barndoors and bulb. A bulb can be had for less than ten bucks on eBay.
And shipping seems rather high also.
When all is said and done, the 650 ends up being only about $50 to $60 cheaper than the real deal.

The gap widens somewhat for the 1kW light though.

I sent a cashiers check, ....so not here yet . I will provide photos, and a detailed description of my findings. I will have to show photos of my own Arri 650 as something to compare it to however, as I don't own any Arri 1k fresnels. I have other Mole 1k fresnels and a couple of 1k -open face arri's that I use with softboxes. I think the side by-side comparison with the 650 should suffice, since they are basically the same thing, but just slightly smaller than the 1k...I promise to show these when it arrives. I think I will even contact him later today to make sure check arrived and check cleared. He/they should have received my check on the 1st of Feb.

Looking foward to it... even more so since you have the real deal there both with an Arri and a Mole fixture. That makes me far more eager to hear what you think of them.
 
seriously .. comon .. i'm dying to get in on this if they're any good .. waiting for the guinnea pig first though :)
