Live Free or Die Hard trailer

I'm not gona lie, I am sooo looking forward to seeing this.

You gota love a trailer that has only one line of dialog and two minutes of explosions in it.
 
Where can this movie go that hasn't already been done? I guess Boston and Chicago, perhaps Seattle and Atlanta or Miami? Just different car crashes and explosions. But it should be a good payday for Bruce Willis.
 
For the record, I'm happy to see Justin Long in an action film. Too many high school dramas can be bad for you. AT the same time, I hope he doesn't end up being my new Shia Labouth. I really am NOT a fan of that guy.

I'm expecting "Commando 2" to follow suit. We already know Rambo IV is coming out. Maybe "Texas Ranger- The movie"?
 
Pretty pumped about this one... here's hoping they don't screw up one my favorite franchises too badly :beer:

i'm pissed it's pg13... john mcclane is a BAMF (bad ass mother f***er) and it should be shown, now they can't with a pg13... he's supposed to cuss, etc... i'll see it but ya im pissed at a pg13 rated DIE HARD movie!
 
Bruce Willis can give %250 this time & the movie will still fail. The trick with Die Hard is that the hero has to be put through hell, and that is up to the intensity and motives of the villain.

Guy from Scream 2 just won't do it.
 
What time are you seeing it? Want to know what you thought. Suppost to be released July 6th over here [Birthday ^_^], Transformers on July 4th. Now they shifted it forward 2 days to the 4th also.
 
I worked on this film in VFX and was impressed with Bruce Willis and the extensive practical FX work that was done. Some of the car and helicopter stuff is awesome.
 
I saw it today and I don't want to offer any spoilers... but let me just say that LOGIC ERRORS in a movie will really pull me out of it.

I have to be able to rationalize the actions of people EVEN WITHIN THE FANTASY REALM OF THE MOVIE... yes... I can suspend disbelief and accept fictional stories on the screen... but I still need people to behave within a pattern of logic that's appropriate to the character as they've already been defined.

Also... in one scene they cut from a basic two shot and move in for coverage and on the reverses the two actors are speaking from the SAME side of the screen looking into the other half of the screen... even though they are cutting back and forth as you would do for normal reverses... but there's no reverse!

I'll give this film a week or so before I say much else about it... overall I found it fairly entertaining... but sometimes I felt the actions of some characters were completely unmotivated within the story.

For the first half hour or so I honestly thought to myself that it could very well be the best action flick ever made... but then this other stuff killed my buzz.

You most likely WILL enjoy the movie though... some of the sequences are pretty eye popping... just don't let your brain analyze anything during the action.
