Where is boom man headphone from 302?

Dear All,

I just got my SD 302, which is a very nice instrument, and the sound is really great! (Hey, Oleg, thanks for your advice)

I am thinking how a boom man gets a headphone out from 302, which has only one headphone out. What do the experts here usually do? How to split the headphone out for two people, namely, the guy who mix and the guy who boom. Can I just buy some cheap 3.5mm spliter?

By the way, I am having a Sony MDR-7506 headphone, which I have been using for years, and it is OK for me. If I need to get another one, any suggestion for another brand or just the same one.

Thanks a lot.

better buy some cheap headphone amp as boostaroo and send the boman one side from the tape output ( mini xlr out )
never split your headphones - never

7506 - are good i use these on regular bases .
the sennheiser 25 are better for outside sound penetration and more flattish on the low end , the comfort , is really depends on your head :-), about twice then sony in a price .
by the way , for booman you dont need more then good ear buds as he only need to hear that he is on axis

I started with a HD25 and still like it a lot. The problem is that I'm wearing glasses and after a short while that really hurts in combination with the HD25. The MDR7506 is much more comfortable in that respect (as well as the AKG271), because it encloses the ear.

Thanks, TheAnimal,
Is HD25 made by Sony? (Oh, I found out by myself now; it is Sennheiser)

I am not sure what does "the booman on axis" mean? I think it is very crucial for a booman. Would you teach me about this?
About the headphone splitter that you recommend to me, will it affect the sound quality and consequently the mixer's job?
Thanks.

Off Axis - not pointing at talent.

On Axis - pointing at talent.

Boostaro looks like a cool li'l tool. I'm gonna grab one. Thanks for the tip Oleg.

I use a Rolls headphone distribution amp.

the booman have no effect of getting better headphones , he need it only to get the feel where is the best spotfor the mic , so evereg headphones are good enouth , all other desossion about sound quality is in hends of your mixer .
big headphones for booman is areal drag , all my guys prefer work with really small ones or ear buds esspesially in hot humid places becouse the sweat .
