Hey all,
I have a question I hope someone could please answer. I am working on a project that I already burned to dvd.I no longer have the project in VegasOf course someone changed their mind months later and wants me to add something to it. I was able to drop the video file (it is in mpeg2 format in the vegas timeline). However, for some reason the audio did not go with it. I only have a video file. The audio file shows it is in my dvd architect program, and I have been able to drop it in the timeline for dvd architect, but I need to drop it in to Vegas' timeline to edit with.I hope this makes sense. Any thoughts?

I was going to upgrade to vegas 7 eventually, I may as well do it now if I cant do what I need to in version 5

I'm in demo mode of Sony Vegas 7.
Vasilating between Premiere and Vegas.
As this forum and David's replies are helpful, I'm leaning toward Vegas.
I have an audio file in RealPlayer that I want to import into section 5 or 6.
Won't allow it to be dragged into the location. I've consulted Help, but had no success.

Any tips?

Thx.

Sorry...it refers to section 5 for music and section 6 forsound effects...just thought it easier to refer to numbers.

Thanks.

Do you mean tracks?

I honestly have never tried to import anything Real Media into Vegas.

But, just spitballing here -- if it's copy-protected, and any commerical music or sound probably is, Vegas won't allow import.
