QT Pro and Vegas 7

I just bought QT pro to have the h264 format. and now I'm haveing more headaches than before. Is there a way to add the 264 to the render as option list? Or is mpeg-4 really the same thing as h264?
Help me please, time is running out.

You won't be able to use Apple's H.264 codec to render. You could with the beta version of QT7, but you can't with the production version.

You can render an AVI and have QT Pro do the encoding.

Or yes, you can render as an AVC, which is also H.264.

Or, as I keep reminding people, WM9 is a variant of H.264.

I wish I had known this last night before I gave away 30 bucks to Apple only to have it screw up all my settings. Live and learn I guess.

I think you might find that you will in fact take advantage of QT Pro. I was in a similar situation and I use it on a weekly basis at least. Give it time, it will come through in a pinch.
