Use Of Pulley In Fight Action

We do lots of fight sequence in our movie. But Wire Technique is old fashioned. They use single pulley and metal wire , we need 5 t0 7 people to pull 1 people. So Lets discuss latest technique.

Use two pulleys, so that you can pull straight down. Gravity is your best friend when it comes to wire-fu. Watch some of the video clips on my web site, you'll see what I mean. Nearly all of the wire stunts in the clips on my site use a single puller. At most, we use 2. Wire work technique is not at all old fashioned, but information is hard to come by, and most people don't have access to it. I suggest hiring a professional to coordinate all your wire stunts.

If you're interested in learning basic and advanced wire work, check out our school, which opens in May (shameless plug!)

Yeah, have one guy kick the other guy, have him jump back as if he was flung out of frame, than cut to the wall and have him bag into it... haha...

Or, green screen the guy waving his arms and acting as if he's flying back, than motion the camera on the set so it looks like the camera follows him across the room and stop when he hits the wall, cut to him on set against the wall...

OR! U can do it really horribly and do the zoom... Gren screen him from the front or back and zoom the camera making it look like he's flying back...

(I never did any of that, but I can't wait to do action movies...)

Just an opinion, but wire work is wire work. I am from the "old school". I enjoy a good knock down, drag out brutal fight without having to suspend my belief while watching a film fight. It does take a lot of timing to make things work along with skill and expertise, but I just don't want to watch them.

I hear you but what about dueling vampires.
Or people that are using magic kung fu.
Or people that have discovered that the world we live in is all an elaborate program because we are all just batteries kept in suspended animation and that once you realize that you are no longer bound buy physics. It's useful then.

I guess I just never thought about those things, I lead a sheltered life.......but in those cases, yes wires would work definitely.
