How to brighten footage?

I have some footage that looked good on my field monitor and editing monitor, but appears dark on various computer monitors. It seems that it appears normal on flat screen monitors, but kinda dark on tube monitors. I was wondering if there was a way to lighten the footage so it would look better on tube monitors and such. I wouldn't mind if this result brightens it on flat screens. What tricks can be used on PP2.0 to brighten footage?

Thank you very much!!!

Have you tried using curves? If you go into the EFFECT tab, locate Color Corrector...drag and drop it into the clip you'd like to tweak. Then, with the clip selected, go into your EFFECTS CONTROLS tab, scroll down until you see the curves option (it should be a diagonal line from lower left hand to upper right hand)...to start with....click on the line about 1/3 or the way down and gently move it back and up....you will see it begin to handle your footage.

I've found curves to be a great way to brighten or darken footage with some pretty impressive noise-less results!

Hey, thanks guys! It just so happens that I was trying to find a decent way of handling that problem myself.

Like to add that these are not "tricks", just the normal tools to make clips match in a movie/documentary/whatever.

Premiere and all better editors have dozens of tools to modify the colors, either for color corrections (truth) or effects (art).
