Wooters~!

Your brain is a muscle and must be lubricated, meaning, drink lots of water.
Fatigue can be caused by dehydration and it directly affects the brain.
Also, the brain needs more fuel than you realize. Eating 3 meals a day is
not enough to sustain a creative mind. The brain works all day and it given one
light meal in the middle of the day, it's not enough.

You should be eating 5-6 half meals a day. Small portions. What this does is to
allow your brain to have more peaks of creative energy than normal. Most
people will peak once a day, due to the lack of nutrients, sleep and hydration.

Another thing to keep your brain sharp is to do crossword puzzles. This helps
excercise the brain muscle. Also, learn a new language or skill a year.

First step, drink more water.

"problems with my short term memory, not so much long term but short term"

are you indoors all day ?
i just read something about this in December .. can't rememeber where /( maybe i have it too) .... some study - it stated that fresh air and walking/exercise helps short term memory - think they said min of 20 min 4 days week outdoors exercise/walking - something to get the blood flowing
this is good but if you are stuck inside all day instead of sitting on a chair switch off on a workout ball core stablisation and when sitting in your chair get up every 30 min. and lay over the ball with outstretched arms and deep breathing. at nite take 15 min. to 30 meditating.:violin: or listen to yes....... classical music

Ok. I like classical music and I listen a lot of Richard D. James/Aphex Twin/Polygon Window whatever you prefer to call him(for those in the know) so it really stimulates my brain.

Alright everyone, keep throwing them out there. I plan to make a little list of all this stuff sometime. But I need more, brain neeeeeeds more!!!!

Hey Robert, drink more liquor. Not many people know this, but the brain cells that are killed are the dormant ones that won't be used anyways.

Thanks tommy, but I have been and always will be liquor free! Do you have any other suggestions? I hate feeling this way :(

As far as my diet goes, well...let's just put it this way, I'm an editor. lol

In the morning I'll have some oatmeal at work and then skip lunch most of the time and then go home and have two sandwiches or some macaroni and cheese. Or lately I've been making tri-tip. But in between hours at work, I grab handfuls and sometimes even cup fulls of those little goldfish crackers they have at work. M&M's too. It's terrible I know.

You know alcohol is no good, but pollute your body with junk food. Its just as bad imo. I can/have resisted sugar and junk food for years and years now. I get sugar in my body through foods that naturally have it, but dont eat candy or drink soda or anything like that. Its easier to do that than not have a beer for me. Having a beer right now , light beer of course. Ultra's ftw.

What ever happened to Ginkgo Biloba? Its a natural supplement which is supposed to help short term memory loss. In fact, I keep meaning to pick up a bottle myself because I'm convinced I need it too. But..........wait for it......wait for it...........I keep forgetting.

they did test on ginko...and they said it doesn't enhance memory................not KIMKO because once you've met me you'll never forget me! ha..........and REMEMBER if'n you are drinking a beer make sure you don't drink from aluminum cans! test have also said that aluminum causes..........uh...................

lol kimko... :)

Robert, you know what your problem is then... eat better! And you have to avoid sugar... it raises your insulin levels, which is bad in it's own regard, but it also causes your body to release serotonin, which will make you half fall asleep... and your M&Ms are full of sugar... you probably need to eat a lot more food more often. I would bet that some days you don't even get a good amount of quality protein from what it sounds like.

Why don't you get some MetRx or something like that and make some shakes throughout the day? That will give you the carbs, fat, and protein you need, as well as vitamins and minerals...

Yeah, I don't eat as much as I'd like to.
