I feel like it helped clear my mind a bit - gave me some perspective on what I was doing.
I was getting a bit too caught up in pixel counts and color space (ducking to avoid the rocks)

Of course - now I feel like I'm back to help clear my mind... getting into a lot of work and getting into a new camera and a new workflow - I know I'll need the DVXUser braintrust to work through some of these growing pains.

you know - to this day my wife still uses the phrase "take me as you can" whenever we have a friendly disagreement.

speaking of which - I told her I bought the camera today.
You know what the first thing she said was?

"Let me guess - did you get back on DVXUser right after you ordered it?"

Am I really that predictable - or does she just know me too well?

Haha! I love that. My girlfriend always has a bit of condescension in her voice when she refers to this place...like you guys are all my geeky camera friends.

And to her, you are apparently, all little. "why dont you ask your little friends on dvxuser"or "wouldnt your little friends know why it wont upload"....blah blah blah...but when she needs you guys shes as nice as pie "hey, can you please go to dvxuser for me and ask about about getting my canon professionally cleaned"....speaking of which...I gotta go to the photography section....

No doubt.
He was a poetic ass+hole though. Maybe even an ass++....

Seemed like he created a sort of trademark haiku for the obnoxious.

I still have yet to find a situation in which I can tell someone to take me with some sand in their underwear. Just hasn't come up.
