Premiere Pro 1.5 and AVI files ripped from DVD

Hey,

Right i ripped a DVD using No 1 DVD Ripper which i thought great its converted straight to an .avi file, it will fit right in premiere, import the clip in place it on the timeline and no video, just audio. Now ive tried rendering multiple times and even tried exporting to make sure it wasn't just my computer not being fast enough. Now im really stuck for solutions!! Can anyone help me??? :violin::embarasse

Have you tried to play that AVI file in Windows Media Player to make sure the ripped clip is usable?

Yeah, plays perfectly in windows media player, thats why im so confused to why it ain't working!!!

I had a similar problem yesterday. I'm not sure if its quite the same or if it will help...but go to the icon of the file and change the extention to .mpeg. A window will pop up suggesting you dont do that...but do it anyway and try to import it into Premiere...
