I had to let you guys know, in case you didn't already: Having tried (and often struggled with) every other video playing software known to humankind, I stumbled on a free program that's so well designed, so efficient, and so reliable that I'm an instant fan. It's called Total Video Player. No more slow start-ups and advertising from Real Player (yuck!). Windows Media Player is too big and clunky. Even Quicktime starts up verrrrry slowly for a lot of files. I don't quite know how a free program manages to do so well where the others let me down. Seems to play every codec I came across. I couldn't get Quicktime or Win Media Player nor anything else to play an mp4 file. But Total Video Player opens the file with a click. It even plays my DVDs. Power DVD is put to shame. I might sound like a salesman for this Total Video Player, but I don't know who they are or where they come from. But I figured some of you might want something on your computer to streamline video watching. (I seem to watch 90% of my movies/TV on my computer these days.) Oh, I'm running it on a PC by the way.
